Salary Range:  $500-$1,000 depending on assignment

POSITION OVERVIEW

JOB SUMMARY:

UWF StringFest is an annual summer camp for string students from grades 4 – 12.
There are two sessions for StringFest: Junior and Senior. The Junior StringFest students (grades 4-8) will participate in orchestra rehearsals and performances. The Senior StringFest attendees (grades 7-12) will participate in instrumental clinics, small group lessons, string quartet classes, rehearsals, and performances.

StringFest instructors are responsible for leading students in rehearsals, clinics, and workshops for the students. Instructors prepare students for a final concert at the culmination of the program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must have experience teaching string music to youth.

  • Physical Requirements: Occasional and/or light lifting required. Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely results would be cuts, bruises, etc.
