Salary Range:  $16.50 - $20.00
Pay Basis:  Hourly

POSITION OVERVIEW

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist the Coordinator in leading a comprehensive university outdoor recreation program, including oversight of the climbing center, bike shop, trip preparation and cleanup, program trips and events, special events, disc golf course, and equipment rentals. Collaborate with other professionals on department-level initiatives and projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma and four years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Experience in outdoor activities, such as backpacking, canoe camping, rock climbing, and kayaking.

At least one year of trip leader experience.

Knowledge of Leave No Trace principles.

Experience as a climbing instructor in an indoor climbing facility.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute for experience at an equivalent rate.

Experience in outdoor activities such as biking, backpacking, kayaking/canoeing, camping, and rock climbing.

At least one year of trip leadership experience.
