POSITION OVERVIEW

JOB SUMMARY:

The University of West Florida, Department of Mathematics and Statistics in Pensacola, FL, invites applications for one anticipated full-time, lecturer position (#119590), beginning August 2026. Candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate mathematics, statistics, or related courses per assigned teaching schedule each semester; mentor students; and serve on university, college, and department committees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Holds at least the master's degree in an appropriate field of specialization or the equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and is otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. The appointee engages in teaching, service, and other related activities, but is not eligible for tenure.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, data science or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution with a strong commitment to teaching and service.
