POSITION OVERVIEW

JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing visually compelling and strategically aligned designs and content across all marketing channels. This role emphasizes graphic design, digital storytelling and content production to support Continuing Education’s marketing initiatives. It requires a balance of creativity and organization, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and translate marketing goals into impactful visual and written content. As a member of the marketing team, this position also represents Continuing Education at designated events and participates in select classes and programs to source photography and generate content ideas for integrated marketing across social, web, and email channels. In addition, it provides support for other organizational marketing initiatives, as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Four years of direct experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficiency in graphic design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy. Ability to write clear, concise, and grammatically accurate copy to support recruitment and other marketing communications. Experience producing digital and print creative assets and content. Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively with leadership and staff and maintaining positive interactions with students and the public as a representative of Continuing Education. High-level thinker with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in a related field or bachelor’s degree with three years relevant experience. Understanding of inbound marketing initiatives and effective execution of marketing campaigns. Working knowledge of HTML and video editing/production HTML, graphic design and video editing knowledge is a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:
  • 30%% - Assists in designing visually engaging graphics and layouts for digital and print marketing activities, including flyers, social graphics, banners, catalogs, online advertising, and other branded assets. Develops visual concepts that align with established University and department brand guidelines and program marketing objectives. Adapts and formats creative content for multiple platforms while maintaining consistency across all materials. Prepares and edits design files for distribution and incorporates feedback to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with project goals. - (Essential)
  • 25%% - Assists in developing clear and engaging written content for email communication, social media, web copy and additional inbound marketing tactics to support recruitment initiatives for Continuing Education and its partners. Supports content planning by identifying storytelling opportunities through events, programs, and campus activities. Works within Continuing Education’s email marketing platform to support campaign execution, including creating and organizing templates and assisting with audience segmentation and list populations. Edits and refines content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency while ensuring alignment with UWF editorial and brand standards. - (Essential)
  • 20%% - Participates in collaborative efforts to develop and implement effective marketing strategies and creative concepts that support program enrollment growth. Reviews email communication performance reports and applies best practices to refine and adjust campaigns based on engagement and response data. - (Essential)
  • 15%% - Maintains ongoing updates in the marketing project management ticket system to ensure deadlines are met and projects remain on track. Assists with website updates and content management in alignment with accessibility standards and user experience best practices for prospective and current students, as well as department partners. - (Essential)
  • 10%% - Represents Continuing Education at designated campus and community events in support of program recruitment initiatives and participates in select classes and programs to source photography and generate content ideas for integrated marketing across social, web, and email channels. - (Essential)
