POSITION OVERVIEW

JOB SUMMARY:

Develops, plans, implements, and evaluates concepts and ideas for advertising, marketing collateral and campaigns designed to increase revenues of Business and Auxiliary Services operations and to educate and connect with prospective students and families as well as current students and the campus community about services and products offered.

Areas supported include, but are not limited to: Bookstore, Dining, Catering, Vending, Nautilus Card Office, Copy Services, Student Printing, Parking and Transportation Services, Postal Services, Trademark Licensing, Records Management, the Trolley Shelter Display Program; and the UWF Police.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience in graphic design, marketing and social media. Customer Service and public speaking experience.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of graphic design; marketing and public relations. Proficiency with social media, content creation and digital storytelling. Experience with visualization and execution of concepts for events a plus. Budgeting also a plus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or other appropriate area of specialization. Have at least two years experience in marketing, advertising, communication, public relations, graphic arts or a related field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:
  • 10% - Creates, manages and updates all Auxiliary Services websites as well as the Division, Police, Environmental Health and Safety and BEI websites. Assist with Confluence updates as needed. Design assistance to the UWF Police annually for the production of the Combined Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Develops strategy and tactics to create positive student, faculty, and staff experiences. Able to develop and implement marketing communications strategies designed to cultivate business for operations managed by Business and Auxiliary Services. Works to maintain a positive view of all BAS operations across the campus community through communications collateral. - (Essential)
  • 8% - Engage in professional development training opportunities to keep current on marketing tactics and trends. Attend additional training opportunities for trademark licensing or auxiliaries as appropriate. Attend monthly Communications Liaisons meeting on campus. Responsible for annual Brand Review submissions and meeting attendance. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Design of marketing collateral including the design and production of the annual Essential Campus Services book. Contact for the annual Essential Campus Services Fair; Oversees @UWF submissions, various posters and CCTV screen images. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Works with Auxiliary staff and vendors to plan, schedule, cross-promote and communicate information, works with vendors to obtain product, giveaways and other support to enhance the BAS overall image. - (Essential)
  • 2% - Marketing and design support to BEI and Argonaut Village, as requested. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Develops and maintains a comprehensive social media strategy as well as content for Business and Auxiliary Services operations and the UWF Police. Responsible for ongoing social media, visualization and digital storytelling. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Manages, plans, prepares, schedules various events throughout the year. Serves as the primary contact for Orientation, Explore UWF, and Essential Campus Services. - (Essential)
