POSITION OVERVIEW

JOB SUMMARY:

The Chemistry Department at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL is seeking a candidate for a full-time Lecturer appointment starting August 2027. The successful applicant will provide exceptional undergraduate instruction, work with current staff to support laboratory coordination, and perform other duties as required. Teaching assignments will be in the areas of general and analytical chemistry and the candidate’s specialization area.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MS in Chemistry, or related field, from an accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching and service. The appointee engages in teaching and service and other related activities, but is not eligible for tenure.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MS in Chemistry, or related field, from an accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching and service.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate must have an MS in Chemistry, or related field, with 5 years relevant experience, or a Ph.D. in Chemistry, or related field from an accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching and service. The position requires exceptional instruction at the undergraduate level. Teaching assignments will be in the areas of Analytical Chemistry and General Chemistry.
