POSITION OVERVIEW

JOB SUMMARY:

The Graduate Admissions Graduate Assistants (GAD GAs) are integral members of the Graduate Admissions team within the Office of University Admissions. In this essential capacity, GAD GAs serve as the primary student support representatives, the first point of contact for individuals navigating the graduate application process. This involves engaging professionally with prospective and currently enrolled graduate students, faculty members across various departments, and university staff, by providing comprehensive and professional assistance through all primary communication channels: telephone, email correspondence, and direct, in-person visits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must be a graduate student at the University of West Florida and pursuing work related to the student’s graduate studies program.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong communication and organizational skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Self-motivated, professionalism, strong communication and time management skills, and ability to work with diverse individuals. Be able to multi-task, have a positive and helpful attitude. Be a team player and support University Admissions as needed.

  • Physical Requirements: No unusual physical requirement. Requires no heavy lifting and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
